Currently Looking For
Currently I’m hungry for: romance that feels fresh and high concept, book club fiction with a unique voice and/or quirky premise (think THE WEDDING PEOPLE), and speculative adult fiction a la Matt Haig. In general I am looking for contemporary romance, book club and women’s fiction, speculative fiction, untold historical tales, and a bit of suspense/thriller (if it’s got a great hook!). I also work on some YA and graphic novels for children. I am a very plot-driven and commercial reader, my favorite books can be read in one sitting, and will make me laugh out loud or cry on the subway–or both! I love anything with lists/letters/texts/media embedded into the story, hints of magic, or subplots that get woven together in unexpected (but seamless) ways. I am particularly drawn to family or sister stories, imaginative re-tellings, and stories with a food or travel element. I’m not a match for: romantic suspense, eco-thrillers, international political plots, picture books, poetry, novels in verse, or courtroom procedurals. Fun facts about me: I’m a connoisseur of: mac & cheese, Broadway musicals, trivia nights, board games, and Arnold Palmers
