Currently Looking For
CLOSED TO QUERIES: I am currently only accepting queries at conferences, pitch events, or via professional referrals. I represent commercial fiction – board books through adult – and love stories that are standout, weird, and quirky. In all manuscripts, I want intensity in the writing. (Give me all the feels!) I especially love plot-driven writing with deep characterization. I want to be dropped into the moment and experience the story alongside the characters. If a book is high-concept, commercial fiction with beautiful, literary-leaning prose, it’s probably up my alley. Adult/NA/YA Wishlist: Across adult/New Adult/YA genres, I want plot-driven, high-stakes stories with unforgettable characters. Give me edge-of-your-seat grit (dark, raw, unflinching) but never dark for shock’s sake. I’m here for the cathartic, emo heart of it all: think Fall Out Boy, Paramore, 30 Seconds to Mars, My Chemical Romance. Bring me angst, yearning, and vulnerability that feels like screaming your lungs out. I want twisty, emotional stories where high-stakes plots and unforgettable characters collide, and love, heartbreak, and obsession feel dangerous, messy, and all too real. I’m most eager to find: But I also like: Not for me: Hard sells (Things I am open to but see a lot in my inbox): vampires, assassins, witches, memory loss. Chapter Books Middle Grade Picture Book Wishlist: Not for me: Illustrator Wishlist: Vicky only accepts via QueryManager. Unsolicited email queries will be automatically deleted and unread. ***Unfortunately, I am no longer able to provide a reason or feedback when I pass on a manuscript. I appreciate your understanding.
