Currently Looking For
I have Midwestern roots and a background in Neuroscience. During the early years of my career I bounced between publishing and clinical research, but I am now firmly back in the publishing fold working with Susanna Lea Associates, a boutique literary agency with offices in New York, Paris, and London. In the years when I was still growing into myself, the two authors who made my world turn were Toni Morrison and Kurt Vonnegut. Current authors I love and admire include Lauren Groff, Jesmyn Ward, Scaachi Koul, NK Jemisin, Min Jin Lee, Susan Conley, Maria Headley, and Brandon Taylor, to name but a few. I am a sucker for speculative fiction and anything that can be described as literary; I also love a great memoir or essay collection. I am looking for well-written nonfiction with a social mission or authors who want to unravel the mysteries of science for the masses. On the fiction side, I am looking for unique voices, and for stories about those who live on the periphery or whose experiences bridge cultures and societies.
