I am only accepting agented submissions at this time! WELCOME TO LANDMARK! Founded in 2001 as Sourcebooks’ flagship fiction imprint, Sourcebooks Landmark publishes timeless novels that unite exceptional writing with broad reader appeal. Known for championing books that spark conversation, Landmark has played a central role in shaping book club culture while launching and sustaining the careers of renowned, bestselling authors like Stuart Turton, Julie Clark, and Kim Michele Richardson. With a deliberately curated list and a boutique publishing approach, Landmark values editorial partnership, tailored strategy, and long-term investment across a broad array of voices to make bold stands in fiction. Publishing across contemporary fiction, thriller, suspense, and historical fiction, we strive to deliver a roster of diverse stories that share a singular promise: a reading experience that must be talked about and refuses to be forgotten. Looking for all the fiction, my friends! Overall, I’m looking for big plots done beautifully in novels that hit the sweet spot between commercial and literary with strong narrative voice and characters that sweep you away. I’m constantly on the hunt for feel-good fiction and commercial upmarket fiction that can’t help but charm readers (think The Wedding People by Alison Espach or How to Read a Book by Monica Wood) and book club fiction that people just have to talk about. Some of my favorite recent reads have been The Favorites by Layne Fargo, These Summer Storms by Sarah MacLean, The Berry Pickers by Amanda Peters, and Fun for the Whole Family by Jennifer E. Smith. Summer reads that feel like going back to my hometown and somehow have me day-dreaming about diving off docks and the could-have-beens always steal my heart! I devoured This Summer Will Be Different by Carley Fortune and want more complicated relationships you can’t help but root for. Bonus points if there’s a past/present dual timeline and the feeling of your feet once again standing on the soil that raised you. I just want a paperback that transports me to a place I somehow recognize as I swing in my hammock come June! I love fascinating thriller, suspense, speculative, and accessible horror. Give me transporting speculative a la Adrienne Young, give me quirky horror, give me cozy witchy vibes, give me a fresh take on a locked room mystery! I also love anything that has a satirical or fresh edge to it (I just devoured The Semptember House and am dying for something like that on my list). Please someone write me a Millennial/Gen-Z “wouldn’t it be nice to own a house one day, even if it’s haunted” novel that is equal parts incisive and snarky. Speculative slants in commercial fiction! I’m on the hunt for commercial fiction that feels really grounded in human emotion and culture but has a slight (or very imaginative) speculative slant to a new story. I need something like The Husbands by Holly Gramazio that takes a cultural touchpoint and develops an access
