Currently Looking For
I gravitate toward stories that break my heart before (just barely) putting the pieces back together. Ones built around human connection and maybe even a little bit of magic. If that’s feeling a bit vague, then I’m always looking for lyrical or funny picture books that balance heart and humor, grim and adventurous MG graphic novels and illustrated chapter books, and a wide variety of YA graphic novels too difficult to narrow down but know that I love dark, fantastical, and emotional storytelling and have always had a soft spot for magical realism and the slightly speculative. Though I’m not looking for prose at the moment, I’m especially hungry for picture books and YA graphic novels. For more information on my MSWL, visit my website at: Editor — Meriam Metoui Note that I may not be the best fit for historical, sci-fi, or high fantasy but I’ve been known to make an exception for the right art style.
