About
Amalia Frick is an editor at G.P. Putnam's Sons, an imprint of Penguin Random House, not a literary agent. She has worked as an acquiring editor in adult fiction and nonfiction. Note: she is listed here as an agent but is more accurately identified as an editor.
Currently Looking For
Amalia Frick is an Editorial Assistant at G. P. Putnam’s Sons Books for Young Readers. She reads widely, but especially loves transporting sci/fi and fantasy, contemporary fiction with huge heart, and stories that elevate fresh perspectives. Amalia joined Penguin in 2013 in Subsidiary Rights after attending the NYU Summer Publishing Institute and graduating from Occidental College with a B.A. in English and Comparative Literary Studies.
Submission Guidelines
Agented submissions only, but unagented writers may book consultations (see below). Consultations As a new addition from The Manuscript Academy, #MSWL’s educational sister company, we are now offering ten-minute e-consultations (ask about your query, your first page, why you’re getting form rejections–or just ask your general publishing questions) with a select group of our agents and editors. You’ll be able to pick from Skype, Hangouts, or a phone call–and, yes, this works internationally. Please see our FAQ, our step-by-step guide to booking your meeting, a list of participating agents and editors–and consider joining our Facebook group, a free, friendly community of writers cheering each other on through this process. You can also listen to interviews with many of our faculty members on our free podcast. Please note: Meetings are posted once monthly, and then often sell out. If there are meetings available, you’ll see them bolded on the calendar below after clicking “Set Time Zone.” Vital Info @amaliafrick
