Currently Looking For
I am actively looking for upmarket, literary, and commercial fiction, select young adult and middle grade, as well as narrative non-fiction and memoir. I read widely and am on the hunt for any and all writing that provokes a strong emotional reaction, adds an important perspective to the cultural conversation or forces the reader to challenge what they think. (Or ideally all of the above!) I’ve been told that my brand is “complicated women” and I think that’s accurate! An eclectic assortment of favorites includes: THE PAPER PALACE, THE RACHEL INCIDENT, SHARK HEART, NORA GOES OFF SCRIPT, THIS TIME TOMORROW, THE GUEST, THE MANY DAUGHTERS OF AFONG MOY, I WHO HAVE NEVER KNOWN MEN, A HISTORY OF WILD PLACES, COLORED TELEVISION, MARGO’S GOT MONEY TROUBLES, FRIENDS & STRANGERS, TRUE BIZ, THE MOTHERS, THE NEW ME, and MARLENA. More specifically, I’m looking for: But sometimes I surprise myself with what I fall in love with, so please do query me even if your manuscript falls outside these guidelines!
