Currently Looking For
Atop my wishlist for this year: adult books! As always, this is just what I’d love to see in my inbox. I always love being surprised by projects I never knew I wanted. So unless your project falls under a no I don’t want this, still reach out and query me! I do ask, though, if your book deals a lot with parental death (no matter what the age group) to please warn for that in a query. It’s hard to trigger me in general, but that’s one that’s still something I’m dealing with after my father’s passing and I’d rather know what I’m getting into than have it come out of nowhere. I’m not a good fit for literary fiction, upmarket fiction, hard scifi, epic fantasy, women’s fiction, military fiction, etc. Above all on my #MSWL are just great books with strong voice and characters I fall in love with. I want strong hooks I can’t put down and characters that have me rooting for them to win (or, sometimes, fail). Send me the books that will have me reading on my iPad until 3AM when I curse that my battery has died 5 pages from the end. My full #MSWL is on my shiny new website here (www.moeferrara.com/mswl) ADULT NOVELS Rom-Coms: Romantasy / Fantasy: Horror: GRAPHIC NOVELS (ALL AGES) Currently seeking projects from author/illustrators primarily. However, I will consider script-only projects on a very limited basis. Currently, my focus is on OGNs for the kidlit (Early reader / MG / YA space). Adult is a very tricky age category for me, so if you send me an adult project, it better knock my socks off! My tastes in this space match my wants for MG/YA — though I would love to see more contemporary or graphic memoir in my inbox! YOUNG ADULT MIDDLE GRADE PICTURE BOOKS At this time, please note I am only accepting queries from author/illustrators! Last updated: 1 May 2026 Fun facts about me: I have dual degrees in violin performance and music history/literature from Baldwin-Wallace University. If I’m not at my desk, you can probably find me in a pit somewhere playing for my 100th+ musical. And completing my utter descent back into my hockey obsession — I’m planning on taking up skating soon to learn to play. You’re never too old, right?
