Lisa Cron is the author of 'Wired for Story' and 'Story Genius,' widely used craft guides that argue story is rooted in neuroscience and internal character change rather than plot. She coaches writers through her Story Genius method, which front-loads internal character development before drafting begins. Her approach is popular with novelists who struggle with pantser tendencies and structural collapse.
