Cookies are small text files that a website stores on your browser. They allow the site to remember information about your visit — such as whether you are logged in — so you don't have to re-enter it on every page.
Above the Slush uses a small number of essential and functional cookies. We do not use advertising cookies, tracking pixels, or third-party analytics. There is no cookie consent banner because we do not set non-essential cookies.
We use Clerk to handle user authentication (sign-up, sign-in, and session management). When you log in, Clerk sets a session cookie in your browser. This cookie is strictly necessary for the platform to function — without it, you cannot stay logged in.
We use Stripe to process payments for subscriptions and Single Project purchases. Stripe may set cookies during the checkout flow to prevent fraud and maintain session state while you complete a transaction.
We use Cloudflare for content delivery and infrastructure. Cloudflare may set cookies (such as __cf_bm) to distinguish between humans and automated bots, and to manage traffic. These are security and performance cookies, not tracking cookies.
You can manage or delete cookies through your browser settings. The process varies by browser:
If you disable cookies: Blocking essential cookies (Clerk) will prevent you from logging in. Blocking Stripe cookies during checkout may cause payment failures. CDN/Cloudflare cookies cannot be disabled at the browser level.
